Meet our Pastor, John Greenroyd.

I grew up in the Seal Beach area and was always very involved in sports. When I was 21, I went on the pro bowlers' tour and began to struggle with an addiction to alcohol and gambling. I tried many times to stop but couldn't. I was hopeless, and my marriage was suffering because of my addiction. Then I heard about the life-changing power of Jesus and received Him as my Lord and Savior. He set me free from my addiction, restored my marriage, and gave me a new beginning in life. A few years later my wife and I and three children moved to England to serve Him in a new church plant. After about four years in England, the Lord moved us back to America where I became the pastor of Calvary Chapel Los Alamitos where I have had the privilege of serving for the past nine years. My hope and desire is for everyone to know God and make Him known!
